Sign this petition to end the observation of daylight savings time every spring and fall. The reason it was started in the first place was at a time when our country was at war and it was useful because it created more “daylight hours” and made it normal to wake up “earlier” when the days were longer, and wake up “later” or “normal” when the days were shorter. Now, there is no need for DST and most citizens view it as an annoyance and a dreaded time of the year. Some states have even refused to continue to observe it inside their state lines. The goal for this petition is to make nationwide change regarding the observation of DST and evaluate whether or not it is still necessary to continue, or if it should be ended.
