BASEL ATTAR started this petition to U.S. Embassy Qatar and

U.S. EMBASSY IN QATAR

We hope you and your family are safe and healthy during this difficult time.

On behalf of all the Qatar Diversity Visa selectees 2021, we are writing to you in regards to DV procedures status and ask that you expedite the process for us as we fear we are running out of time and will lose our opportunity to immigrate to the U.S. All of our case numbers in Qatar are now current in the monthly Visa Bulletin, and many of the selectees are already documentarily qualified while the rest have their files stuck at the Kentucky counselor center.

The embassy in Qatar only issued Less than 25 visas out of nearly 80 selectees and their derivatives as of July 2021.

As DV selectees we are committed to the fiscal year which is ending on 30th September 2021 and we only have two months for our cases to be processed. As such, we are running out of time.

And thus, we respectfully ask and urge you to take the necessary actions to prioritize DV interviews as we may lose our dreams of becoming US lawful permanent residents if this matter is not handled expeditiously. Is there any way you can expedite processing on our behalf? And if not, can you suggest alternate paths or solutions so we do not lose our DVs.

You are our last hope and we believe in your capacity to interview all of Qatar DV selectees as we are few selectees numbers in Qatar. We look to the embassy in Ankara as an example, where they are prioritizing only DV selectees’ interviews for August and September. We hope you can do the same in Qatar.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and support in this manner.

Yours Sincerely,
Qatar DV2021 selectees
