It has been recently brought to light that the Airline Industry has the ability to treat the paying customer in any fashion they choose. The treatment on behalf of the airlines is not new, social media has just enabled it to be more quickly disseminated to the public.
I want passenger protection to be modified and expanded to include:
Paying customer (passengers across all airline flights) to be treated with dignity by ALL airline representatives; expect safe and humane treatment by ALL airline representatives; No forcible removal from any flight with exception due to safety; not bumped unwillingly; provide fair compensation upon giving up their paid ticket (gift card/travel voucher up to 10,000 USD); provide fair compensation for lost and damaged baggage within 24 hours (1500 USD per bag); provided fair compensation for delayed flights in excess of 1 hour; provide fair compensation for cancelled flights that are not weather related (to include food and lodging as well);to provide notification immediately to customer via text or email for gate changes.
