#LiftTheTravelBanforVaccinated

The Biden administration imposed a travel ban on any non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents coming to the country from India as multiple coronavirus variants have driven India's COVID-19 outbreak to troubling new heights. The policy will take effect starting on Tuesday, 4th May 2021, the White House said.

The travel ban won’t apply to U.S. citizens or permanent residents and their spouses. Other individuals who might qualify for exemptions include humanitarian workers, certain journalists and academics, and students commencing studies in the fall, according to a determination by the State Department.

Request the administration to add the below people to the Exemptions List.

People who have valid work visas and were working here in USA, but,  had to travel to India to take care of corona-impacted elderly parents & relatives, leaving behind their immediate family members in USA. Sadly, now, they are stuck back there in India, due to this sudden Travel-Ban. This has more far-reaching impacts, like at the risk of loosing current employment in USA, being unable to work remotely from India in addition to mental trauma of being away from their immediate family members.

We request the Biden's administration to kindly consider adding those Indians who satisfy the below criteria to the Exemptions List.

 - Fully vaccinated

 - Have valid work visa

 - Recently travelled to India on emergency purpose leaving behind their family members
