People in the U.S who are earning minimum wage cannot keep up with the rising cost of food, gas and the higher cost of living of these times making it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to make ends meet. Also, the economy can not improve if people are not spending. It is no longer feasible to live on $7.25 an hour. How would the polititions like to try to live on $7.25 per hour? While people who are earning minimum wage may have less skills, they are still working very hard. They have to pay for housing, bills, food and clothes too. They are human beings just like people who earn higher wages. The importance of this matter needs to be recognized and rectified by the government, polititions, U.S. Department of Labor and the President of the United States. While the minimum wage varies depending on the state you live in (some states are lower and some states are higher), the minimum wage is still too low no matter where you live.
