Make Ethnic/LGBTQ Studies a Required Course in Public High Schools in the US

The Ethnic Justice Movement is a student run movement started by four ordinary students in an Ethnic Studies Classroom in a Bay Area high school. The goal of our movement is to spread knowledge about Social Justice issues across the United States. The ignorance we see right now can only be solved by education. By requiring ALL students enrolled in a public high school in the US to take an Ethnic/LGBTQ Studies Class, we educate tomorrow's politicians, influential leaders, teachers, and help them learn more about cultures outside their own.
Ethnic/LGBTQ Studies includes (but is not limited to): African American History, African American Issues, Asian American Studies, Ethnic Women’s Studies, Filipino Heritage Studies, Issues in Ethnic Studies, Latino Issues in The United States, Mexican American Heritage, Multicultural Literature, and LGBTQ Studies. Self-Education is the first step of uniting entire communities of people, creating unity, not division.
