With the many soldiers, but especially female ones of the military who have spoken out about the sexual harrassment in the military, an awakening must done. Someone needs to be accountable as an outside source to be a “safe house” for the complaint and outpouring of the burden that our service members carry when voicing their concern and violation from another person. There should be a complete sense of trust in an outside “safe house” to assure complete confidentiality in the receiving counseling appointed professionals and officials of outside law enforcement sources for the victims. The local officials, whether county or up to the state itself must hold perpetrators accountable for their crimes of violation in their actions while protecting the identity of the victims. Time for a change!
