Definitions of terms change over time, over the course of the 21st century, there has been no difference. One of the primary definitions that has seen the most change are those conflating the differences between gender and sex. This petition is for bi-partisan regulation between the two. The following definitions are those that we’re petitioning for in this.

SEX: The chromosomal makeup of an individual based on the 23rd base pair (XX/XY).

GENDER: The outwards appearance/expression of an individual in relativeness of normative traits of males/females.

Now, the main question comes down to how will these be regulated. We propose this legislation to help protect the privacy of the individual while also allowing for proper healthcare to be provided. In today’s age the terms for pronouncing become quite difficult in relativeness to transsexual individuals, and can lead to serious medical complications. Our petition calls for legislation to create new mandatory information of federal identification; primarily that of the addition of a “Gender Marker”, in favor of the removal of the “Sex Marker”. The gender marker would be put in terms of M/F (Male/Female), and can be changed at the request of an individual after being requested & affirmed in court. A person’s default gender marker will be that normative of their biological sex. We also propose legislation in favor of an addition of a “Sex Marker” on any/all forms of medical records and have them be based on an XX/XY scale. This “Sex Marker” will not be able to be changed. In order to protect the privacy of the individual this sex marker will not be publicly available information like the gender marker. The only persons privy to have access to the information of one’s sex marker are the individual’s medical provider & the state. Employers, businesses, and any other form of public institution are not privy to the information unless the individual provides it to them willingly, and it shall not be mandated of them to do so. The reasoning behind this privacy of one’s sex marker is to allow for them to flow through societal life without any barriers.

FAQ:

Q: Why should we change the definitions?

A: Definitions change over time, this would allow for an easy transition into a new age with minimal societal impact.

Q: Why are employers not allowed to have access to one’s sex marker?

A: It’s simply not needed, in any/all social cases our genitals are not made the primary focus of conversation, nor are they a tool to determine employment.
