Build rest rooms at the Iwo Jima Memorial

This petition had 39 supporters

There are no restrooms at the Iwo Jima Memorial in Arlington, VA, just across the Potomac river from Washington DC.  The porta-potties that are there are disgustingly gross - dirty & very stinky.  Thousands of visitors a day have to endure these.  Many visitors are veterans, now aging & disabled, who have served our country, many in wheelchairs, on crutches, hooked up to oxygen, etc.  They shouldn't have to struggle to use a porta-potty.  There are also many families with small children.  There is, presently, a bill in Congress to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to establish a structure for visitor services in this area.  We need to urge our Congress to pass this bill.  It is H.R. 1073.
