Medicare recipients deserve the same or better benefits than Medicaid recipients.

As a tax payer my income pays for Medicare and Medicaid services. So why does the working class that receives or will receive Medicare NOT get as many allowed services as Medicaid recipients. My income pays for both, but the population that does not contribute to the cost is entitled to more services. If you are currently employed and paying Medicare taxes please help change this discrepancy in care. My husband has Medicare and private insurance and still cannot get the same services as Medicaid recipients. My husband is dependent on all aspects of Activities of Daily Living ( ADLs): eating, drinking, grooming, ambulating, using the toilet, bathing and etc. Medicare and private insurance will only provide an aid for his ADLs if he needs a skilled service-Registered Nurse, Occupational therapist, Physical therapist or Speech therapist. Once the skilled need is met, the aid service stops. With the skilled service he was allowed 3 hours of aid service a week. On the other hand, if my husband was a Medicaid recipient he would be eligible for 84 hours of personal care a week. My husband would have been in a better position if he had never been employed.
