Frank Pressly started this petition to U.S. ATTORNEY GENERAL and

On November 29, 2016 Alexander Chance Partain was chased into a wooded area by a sole deputy sheriff. The deputy claimed Partain overwhelmed him, took his service weapon from it's holster and was on top of him trying to shoot him with it. Deputy McCarty claims after a lot of wrestling about, he took his backup weapon from an ankle holster and shot Partain dead through the heart.

Alexander Chance Partain had plenty of prior experience with Anderson County deputies and had been beat, tazed and monies confiscated from him, over the previous years, according to incident reports written by deputies. As a driver or passenger in a vehicle he had been incessantly harassed and pulled over for such minor things as :  something hanging from his rear view mirror, a cracked windshield, not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign, not wearing a seat belt, missing a front bumper, an improper turn and looking suspicious. These stops always seemed to escalate and turned into something else for which he would ultimately be arrested.. He was justifiably afraid of law enforcement and had expressed as much to a number of friends, family and his attorneys.

While there are no facts that corroborate McCarty's version of what happened there are plenty of facts that dispute his story. Please sign and SHARE this petition so we can let Law Enforcement know that excessive force is not acceptable in the United States of America.
