The history of environmental contamination at our nuclear weapons complexes demonstrates the suicidal nature of these weapons. Using the weapons is not an act of defense, but rather one of global suicide. Civilians have a limited ability to address these issues because of being outside the parameters of classified knowledge, but the dangers are known to military planners. These activists are no doubt well informed and they seasoned their thinking for a long time before engaging in nonviolent actions. Overly long sentences for them will not transform nuclear weapons into sane and helpful weapons which should be maintained forever. Alexis Condy

Their acts exposed the weakness in protecting our own citizens from a nuclear threat. They should be hired to find other ways in which security can be breached at nuclear facilities.

Sr Megan has done a service to our country. Please show compassion and release this nun who has followed her conscience as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King did before her.
