As the communities of Lago Vista, Jonestown and Cedar Park, Texas are expanding at an unprecedented rate, we the citizens of these towns would like to see safer roadways that have become and will become even more congested and much more dangerous by the day. FM 1431 is a very dangerous roadway due to all the twists, turns, blind curves and hills where you don’t know what you’ll find just around the bend or over the crest of the next hill.  The North Shore of Lake Travis has always been a family destination and has been growing by leaps and bounds everyday.  These community’s are thriving and will only bring more commerce to this area and we need to be prepared for the onslaught of this growth.  We need to be proactive not reactive.  Let’s think about the future before the future becomes now and we are struggling to catch up.  I ask that you take this petition seriously and that we all work together to ensure that we are prepared for our future growth.  The safety of not only our permanent residents but also of those that travel to our beautiful North Shore for recreational activities will also be able to enjoy this amazing area of Texas and to make it back home safe and sound.
