People with compromised immune systems, in receipt of chemotherapy, requiring dialysis, recovering from surgery, disabled, on oxygen, have Alzheimer’s or other challenges, that are greatly affected when exposed to large groups in a confined space, are having their human rights violated by being forced to leave their vehicle on the 17 minute crossing between Bell Island and Portugal Cove-St. Phillips. This treatment of people who are already suffering is inhumane. If you believe people who have physical or mental challenges should be permitted to stay in their vehicles please sign the petition below. The plan is to have it presented in the House of Assembly.
