Sarah Holsman started this petition to Twitter, Inc and

This is a petition against the censorship that happens on social media, most commonly within the Big Tech companies. The White House's executive order preventing online censorship states that "free speech is the bedrock of American democracy. Our Founding Fathers protected this sacred right with the First Amendment to the Constitution.  The freedom to express and debate ideas is the foundation for all of our rights as a free people.” Social media companies censoring their users that express their views flat-out strips away our freedom of speech. Every person using their app has the right to view what they want to view and have the opinions and beliefs that they do, and it is their choice, not the social media platforms. It's been reported that “Twitter now selectively decides to place a warning label on certain tweets in a manner that clearly reflects political bias.  As has been reported, Twitter seems never to have placed such a label on another politician’s tweet.” Social media companies should not have this ability to push their agenda onto their users. By signing this petition, we are fighting back and taking one step closer to stopping them.

This is very important to me because I believe in the Constitution that our Founding Fathers created for this free country. It should be stood by and followed, and these companies are stripping our free rights away. I believe that all American citizens have the right to form their own opinions, share them, and learn from others. People getting censored takes away our right to free speech, which is something our country has thrived on.
