Earlier today, on twitter, I saw a gigantic spoiler for the film Parasite by the amazing filmmaker Bong Joon-ho. I wholeheartedly encourage film discussion, even of the bits that would spoil the film for others. However, I think people unfamiliar with the work should have to opt-in, on an individual basis, to see certain parts of these discussions.

Again, I'm not asking to remove discussion, that's as far away as possible from what I want. Art discussion is healthy and entertaining. The same goes for spoilers in music, television, video games, and other media. I just think it would benefit everyone by not having it listed in plain text.

I'm sure this is by far the only service to implement this feature, but I think Discord's way of handling spoilers is something to strive for. Any text can be placed as a spoiler, where it shows up as a black box, one that's revealed when clicked by only the reader. The same idea also applies to images.

I really hope you could consider implementing this feature, or a similar one. I think we all know how much it sucks to be excited for a piece of media, only to have it spoiled for us.

Peace ✌️
