It is no secret that Donald Trump spends a large percent of his time on Twitter. It is a wonder how he can conduct his official, presidential duties while he is nearly constantly tweeting.  He has used this platform to share false narratives, to create and spread hatred and divisiveness, to bully children and even to put American citizens in danger by “attacking” them (and the list goes on).  While part of me wants to see him eventually tweet something damming enough to condemn himself, I believe his most recent use of Twitter to “serve as notification to the United States Congress” is beyond the scope of what the platform should be used for. Perhaps we’ve already crossed that line many times but enough is enough. We are potentially at the precipice of another world war now and we need to take the microphone out of the crazy man’s hands. Let’s please ask Twitter to suspend his accounts until such a time when we are not on the brink of a war. By doing so, let’s ask the POTUS to use the traditional channels for communication that other Presidents have used and remove this bully from his platform where it is entirely too easy for him to taunt and threaten. Hopefully Twitter will realize that they don’t want a hand in the destruction Trump can accomplish using their site.
