Hello,

As of a recent rule change on the gaming livestreaming website Twitch, shirtlessness (minus some exceptions) is a bannable offense. As you might guess, this is a HUGE oversight, as is the case for almost all cases of blanket banning. Twitch likely made this decision to make the Twitch brand image "more family friendly", while not realizing the ramifications this would have on a small community on Twitch.

Beat Saber is regarded by most as the most popular VR game. On Twitch, or otherwise. The game involves swinging your motion-tracked controllers at blocks flying at you, to the beat of music. The "maps" included with Beat Saber don't wind most people. However, most players play custom maps, which can often reach NPS (notes per second) of 20+. This means you are swing your arms up and down 20+ times a SECOND. As you can imagine, this will make anybody (especially those who aren't physically active) sweat like a madlad. If you aren't shirtless with a fan pointed at you, you aren't going to have a good time playing pro-level maps. Webcam views are needed, as this shows new players how to swing properly and to help them fully learn the intricacies of Beat Saber.

This brings me to my final point. Twitch blanket-banning shirtlessness harms this young, thriving community on Twitch. Twitch, please think long and hard, and reassess your previous decision, possibly making an tasteful exception for the Beat Saber, and possibly other virtual reality game categories.

Thank you for your time and consideration for this petition.
