On October 11, 2021, I was live broadcasting on twitch when suddenly my stream crashed and I had gotten suspended. Usually, twitch is supposed to explain why you got banned but this time it was different. After 1 month of twitch "reviewing" the ticket I never received a response on how long or why I have gotten banned. So this made me very bewildered thus I began research on this topic. From my evidence, I concluded that this is not the first time twitch has done this before. A very known streamer by the name of " phantoml0rd " took matters into his own hands in this situation. He had filed a request to a court in California to enforce Twitch to change how it hands out bans. PhantomL0rd won the initial court case, netting him $20,000 in the process, but he and his lawyers are pushing the case forward demanding Twitch make changes to its policies regarding how it handles its partnered streamers particularly. He went onto beating twitch on all accounts resulting in twitch posting "As of today, enforcement notifications sent to suspended users will include the name of the content and the date of the violation to ensure they have better clarity about what content is being actioned on", with this being posted months after the court case was complete. Unfortunately, twitch is still going on to harass and not give a chance to small streamers who don't necessarily have connections to get unbanned, unlike popular streamers.
