Transgender people thrive when we have communities that support and celebrate us. We suffer when we are ignored, invalidated, swept under the rug. 

Adding a #Trans tag to Twitch would better allow trans streamers and viewers to find each other and bond over that shared life experience. We know from experience that there are many trans Twitch viewers who are completely unaware of the existence of trans communities on the site, which is a travesty, 

I believe that adding this tag would benefit Twitch as well. By increasing the likelihood of connection between streamers and viewers, you also increase viewer retention and engagement. This is a win for everyone involved. 

Twitch's argument against adding the tag is that openly identifying ourselves as trans would lead to further harassment, which is quite likely true. However, in my experience, trans communities are already among the best moderated on the entire site. We are more than ready and capable of handling a few extra trolls if that means being able to make more genuine connections and welcome more people into our communities. 

Please give us a #Trans tag. There is no real reason against it and many very valid reasons for it.
