Now is a critical time for all HBCU, Tuskegee in particular. We must have competent and visionary leadership at the helm, with a clear vision for Tuskegee’s history.

This pattern must change, I fear that the institution will not survive if we continue the course with this board. Their interest is in their power and reputation and not the well being of the students, institution, and alumni.

I believe in Tuskegee university and the the surrounding community. We have to build a bridge and ensure both survive and continue. I would love to have a seat on the board.

I believe in the idea of what all HBCUs represent and want them to be ran correctly so they can be around for our children’s children.

I grew up in Tuskegee. Along with Dr. George Washington Carver, being my hero, I opted to attend Tuskegee to understand how the black intellectual giant is made and to become one. Tuskegee has done that for me and much much more. Tuskegee needs a 200 years plan and one which will keep it going for 100s of years. Just take a look at Oxford University, Cambridge University, and the University of London.

I'm signing this petition because it's time for fundamental change at Tuskegee University. Over the past 10 years. I have witnessed firsthand decline in the prominence of TU. First, instability with the Board of Trustees. Second, instability in the Office of the President & University Administration. Third, dwindling alumni support and fragmented alumni support. The current leaders of the Board, the University and the TNAA must come together - united to right this ship. It's embarrassing to me that other less prominent HBCU's are get more frequent and larger donations than Tuskegee. We Today, when I read numerous accounts of donations to other HBCU's greater than TU, I said "What Gives?" I represent Tuskegee everywhere I go. Those currently "in charge" need to "Step UP!" or "Step Aside."

I am signing as concerned alumni, class of 2012. I want this institution to continue to be a LONG-STANDING pillar of our community and our world. I want TU to be around when my 9-year old son is of college age, so he can learn from and benefit from what this institution has to offer! I was not aware of these issues, but now that I am, I am spreading the word with my other colleagues. #PrideoftheSwiftGrowingSouth #TU #UKNOW

TU has problems that need to be fixed immediately. Our BOT doesn't appear to be actively working the problems. We need to hear from the BOT; what are you doing for TU and our students.
