The new TUSD school schedule has proved challenging for many of us and I believe that we can revise this schedule. I am thinking of a schedule that is malleable with those who take AP classes, have jobs, and play sports.

This new schedule would have to reduce the work load in order to work. However, that is not in my control. What is in my control is the amount of time students can have to complete assigned work. This is why I have rationalized a block schedule in which students can have flexibility to do what they must. This schedule would give students the opportunity of having two days to complete assignments. It would be similar to the first semester schedule but with longer class periods so that teachers can complete their necessary instruction. This plan, I believe, would benefit both teachers and students. Go jags!

 Mon:

• 1st Period: (8:30 - 9:50) 2nd Period: (10:10 - 11:30) Break: (11:30 - 12:00) 3rd Period: (12:00 - 1:20)

Tues:

• 4th Period: (8:30 - 9:50) 5th Period: (10:10 - 11:30) Break: (11:30 - 12:00) 6th Period: (12:00 - 1:20)

Wed:

• 1st Period: (8:30 - 9:50) 2nd Period: (10:10 - 11:30) Break: (11:30 - 12:00) 3rd Period: (12:00 - 1:20)

Thurs:

• 4th Period: (8:30 - 9:50) 5th Period: (10:10 - 11:30) Break: (11:30 - 12:00) 6th Period: (12:00 - 1:20)

Fri:

• 1st Period: (8:30 - 8:55) 2nd Period: (9:05 - 9:30) 3rd Period: (9:40 - 10:05) 4th Period: (10:15 - 10:40) 5th Period: (10:50 - 11:15) 6th Period: (11:25 - 11:50)
