Build a new Holt High School
The building was build in 1944 during World War II. Every other school in the county is new and with better facilities. Holt High School has been overlooked too many times and needs and deserves a new building.
- Holt District Rep. Rev. Schmitt Moore
Tuscaloosa County School Board
The Undersigned Petitioners, out of concern for the Holt community and cluster of schools, petition the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education to provide a new Holt High School. The Petitioners object to any renovations or repairs to the existing Holt High School. We feel this need because this school was built in 1944 and is twice as old as any other high school in the county and has environmental issues. The Holt cluster consists of Holt and Cottondale Elementary, Davis Emerson Middle and, Holt High school.
