Education in the UK is inherently broken. Our old system of doing an AS qualification and coursework meant that we could learn first year content and take an exam at the end of the first year in order to secure 50% of our A-Level qualification at the end of that first year. This meant that there was less pressure on students facing a Year 13 summer. The new system offers no improvement to grades versus the old system. Reintroducing the old system i believe would decrease the number of students suffering with anxiety and depression due to education pressure and would result in more students seeing their 19th birthday.
