Keep King George V Hill safe. Allow the cars to park

Parking on both sides of King George V Hill acts as a natural, free and easy-to-administer deterrent to speeding cars.

Parking on both sides keeps our children safe as they cross the road to enjoy healthy activities in the park.

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council wants to remove this natural safety measure and introduce parking restrictions between 8-6pm along this road. The council says  the reason for this is "impeded passage". However, a Freedom of Information request has yielded the fact that in the 12 months to August 2017, TWBC has received ONE complaint about access problems, and it is not clear whether this was from a pedestrian or road user.

If you missed the council's consultation but still think your voice should be heard about this proposal, sign this petition. This will show how strongly local residents feel about the current parking arrangements that keep our children, families and pets safe.
