Both self-harm blogs and pro-eating diosrder blogs can be very triggering to the public eye. I used to be one of those people who would use them as inspiration to further my ED and self-harm behaviors. I learned from the blogs many "useful" tips and tricks to hide my problems from people. This only eneded up hurting me more. Though there are many positive blogs out there that do promote healthy weight loss, I believe that there are many negative blogs out there too.
Also, I do not believe that this is the sole reason behind why people get ED's; there are many factors that go into someone using eating diosrder behaviors. It's just that these blogs are not helping. They are hurting. And it's really sad to see that there is a petition against Tumblr's new policy of deleting any self-harm/ eating disorder blogs.
I really believe that this is a step in the right direction and hope whoever is reading this believes it too.
