Billy Park started this petition to Representative Tulsi Gabbard and

I love the press. They are key to our democracy. They protect what is sacred and keep our government in check, but I have a beef with the media right now. Ever try to find a tv or radio station that gives you full truth? Not just one side of the coin. One channel that you can count on for the full story? A place you can tun to not fill your head with opinion,  assumption, hyperbole, and drama, but just the facts? So you can decide for yourself without them trying to convince you one way or the other? It's next to impossible. Pretty much a full-time job to get the whole story. Well, that's because years ago they got rid of a thing called 'The Fairness Doctrine that said the news was required to give both sides of the story when they report the news, not just the one a particular media source sees fit to broadcast. They removed the doctrine in 1987, and since then the media now decides what is fair to report without any accountability. The media has slowly gone from facts to ETV. Entertainment TV.  So now today you don't get the news, you watch biased talk shows just without the comfy couch for the guests sit on. Great excitement with laughs, great stories, and celebrities. It's big fun, gets your heart racing, and it is a jolly old time, but it is anything but the full truth. The real danger of it is what it is doing to our country. It is dividing us more and more. We think each one of us knows it all. When we only no part of the truth because the place we used to count on for the full story, the news, does not report it anymore. This creates what they call a fancy term called tribalism which basically means we each hole up in a different castle and throw verbal harpoons at each other all day. Surrounded in our foot thick stone walls by people who think just like us, and confirm all the crazy biased ideas we have in our head, we think we truly know it all. When in reality we know very little. Meanwhile, the people in the other castle across the battlefield see it a totally different way and they think they have the absolute truth too. Each castle sinking further and further away from the full truth into their own delusional matrix. Whether it's the blue pill or the red pill each takes you on a fantasy trip. News flash. there is no absolute truth, other than we are all human and need basically all the same things. The most important being we need each other.

I run a movement called Hug it Out America whose sole goal is to shrink the divide one hug at a time, I am traveling to every state in our nation to shrivel the tribalism and misunderstanding of each other in our country by simply giving hugs both physically and through conversation. One of the biggest culprits of this tribal mindset is our media. Talking to every kind of mind in America and giving thousand of physical and verbal hugs, we really need this fairness doctrine again. No more leaning to the left and right. Straighten the media outlets up. This is no joke. It's a serious problem. I can tell you from what I have seen and heard we are slowly slipping into civil war mentality, The result will be more than just hurt feelings too. The media is not helping this. Let's do something us as 'We The People" can do. The media is not going to talk about this legislation to take out the tribalism and division seeded in our tv and radio. Their ratings are through the roof and they are making big coin. It's up to us to reenact the Fairness doctrine. That is why Tulsi Gabbard Congresswoman and Presidential Candidate has brought forth the legislation again because she hates tribalism as much as I do. Sign my petition to support it. You can read about her bill here since the media is not broadcasting it.  The Fairness Act Legislation
