Remove Restrictions for Having Safety in Poor Neighborhoods in Tucson

Poor neighborhoods in Tucson are less likely to have safer streets because of the current process for creating safer streets.
Neighborhoods have to collect donations to do the studies and create the plans!!
The current process for community members to create safer streets includes the following process for neighborhoods:
"Neighborhood pays for the mitigation plan or traffic study through neighborhood donations;
Neighborhood hires contractor - mitigation plan is constructed"
Mayor and Council has the ability and responsibility to make things safer for #EachOfUs and #AllOfUs, not just our rich neighbors!
