Publicly apologize to Andrea Fornella Abbott and reimburse her jail bond

http://overheadbin.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/07/13/7075992-mom-gets-layover-in-jail-after-yelling-at-tsa

Andrea Fornella Abbott shouted at TSA workers that she didn't want her daughter's "crotch grabbed". As a result, she was charged with disorderly conduct and jailed. Although she was released on bond this is just one of the many outrageous displays of the way TSA treats fliers.

As a government agency TSA is responsible for maintaining airport security, the continuous security breaches experienced at airports nationwide are clear evidence that they are not upholding their missing statement. Instead, they deny fliers basic privacy rights and make sure they get punished whenever they complain.

Not wanting your child to be pseudo-molested by TSA is a normal and healthy parenting reaction not warranting any form of reprimand. If her conduct was "disorderly" it was probably in proportion to how outrageous the TSA's request to touch a child is. TSA should publicly apologize to Ms. Abbott, pay for her jail bond and come up with a way to handle passenger complaints.
