The on-going dispute between the Trustees of Berry Hill and Mansfield Harriers & AC has prevented the club having any home fixtures for more than 12 months and has disrupted the training of the athletes at the club. The expulsion of the club from the park will almost certainly lead to the folding of the club and thus leave the Mansfield area with no local athletics club, plus mean that the training and development of many youngsters from the area will stop. In the year of the London Olympics and the lasting legacy is this the message we want to send out to the Country and more widely the rest of the world.
