"TRINITY STOVALL'S LAW" Stop doctors from prescribing medications that are not approved for children by the FDA and/or Pharmaceutical Companies!

Our 13 year old vibrant and beautiful daughter was an honor roll student, championship soccer player, and she was voted "Class Favorite" at the end of her last year in school, the 7th grade. She loved her life and yet  overnight, she developed symptoms of depression.  We took her to see a doctor one time and one time only for this  and 13 days after being placed on a medication that it turns out was not approved for children, our beloved daughter lost her life to suicide. As it turns out, this particular medicine has a "Black Box" warning that was issued in 2005 by the pharmaceutical company because of the high rate of adolescant suicides and neither they nor the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approve it for children.  Our child had no previous psychiatric care, but with a direct genetic predisposition of suicide and as we discovered, her admission of a previous suicide attempt, we were given no warning at the time from this doctor, of the danger this medication would present to our child's mental state. Therefore her father and I want to make sure this never happens again. If the FDA and/or the pharmaceutical companies do not approve or recommend a medication for children then we want to implement "TRINITY'S LAW" to ensure that no other catastrophic loss should happen to another family. Thank you for your consideration and support in signing our petition. On a personal note, our family will cry oceans for our daughter and  in our hearts, we believe we are her voice now and she is the voice of thousands of children who have had no voice, until now!  They desperately need our help... and with that very statement, with your help, her death will not been in vain.
