For the last 30 years, Archery's home in Trinidad has been the Michael P. Mackenzie Archery Range in Tucker Valley. This field was maintained by the Trinidad & Tobago Archery Federation and Points Archery Club for use by all archers. It was the venue for local and international archery competitions such as the prestigious Southern Caribbean Archery Championships, a biennial event.

In 2020, the Chaguaramas Development Authority illegally evicted archery from the Michael P. Mackenzie field, refusing to acknowledge that archers had occupied the field with the permission of the Trinidad & Tobago Defence Force. The Michael P. Mackenzie Archery Range is located on the northern buffer zone of the Defence Force's shooting range. For safety reasons, this area is not suitable for other activities except shooting sports, which is why it was selected in the first place.

After being evicted, some members of the archery fraternity persisted with efforts to regain use of the field but the new TTAF Executive, led by Mr. Hasmath Ali, is not supportive of these initiatives. Archers in Trinidad & Tobago demand that Mr. Ali and his Executive fully support all efforts to regain use of the field.
