Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche and Ricky Best passed on May 26th, while protecting two young Muslim girls from a racist man on the MAX train in Portland OR. They were heroes and will remain heroes on the other side of the veil. Two shining bright stars.
Taliesin Namkai Meche (23), worked for an environmental consulting agency as a career, just bought a house, had a girlfriend, wanted to get married and have babies
The second victim of the Portland attack is Ricky Best (53), a City of Portland employee and 23-year-Army veteran.
We do not have to forget their sacrifice and bravery. They should be remembered and honored for our community as compassionate citizens, who raised their voices against hate and racism.
Get together in this campaign to request TRIMET to rename the two stations where this terrible event happened, to honor our heroes.
They should not be forgotten.
