Tri-Council : Should Vigorously & Promptly Support and Help the four named physicians to continue their medical practices within Slave Lake, Alberta.
This petition made change with 775 supporters!
Four doctors in our community, (Dr. T. O'Keeffe, Dr. J. Keaveny, Dr. N. Hirawan, and Dr. V. Sheopershad) submitted their "Resignations-In-Protest" for Professional Reasons (NOT PERSONAL ONES) related to Patient Care Advocacy issues in early November 2013. This is a FACT.
These resignations WERE submitted as "Resignations-In-Protest" regarding Patient Care Advocacy issues, and the community needs to support them. None of these four doctors wanted to submit resignations, but in their duty as physicians, were required to do so for Professional Reasons.
We KNOW their four resignations were NOT FOR PERSONAL REASONS, but a Resignation-In-Protest over Professional Reasons in Advocating Patient Care Issues.
We KNOW these four doctors DO NOT want to leave our community.
WE KNOW these doctors wish to be reinstated at Slave Lake FCC but AHS Zone Management will not accept that outcome.
WE KNOW there are discrepancies in information and conflict between AHS Zone Management and these doctors. We are of the opinion our greater community will place faith in our known doctors, long before the words of any bureaucrat of AHS
We CAN NOT allow ASH Zone North to bully our community physicians when Advocacy of Patient Healthcare issues IS the issue at hand.
Please sign our Petition. These four physicians NEED our Community's support by signing this petition.
This Petition WILL REMAIN active REGARDLESS of any AHS news releases until our four doctors are reinstated at the Family Community Clinic within Slave Lake, Alberta.
As Dr. T. O'keeffee, J. Keaveny, N. Hirawan, and Dr. V. Sheopershad have provided years of quality medical care to the residents of the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River, the Town of Slave lake; and the Sawridge First nation;
and as these dedicated physician have shown their commitment to the area by rebuilding their homes after the 2001 fire;
We the undersigned residents, petition the Tri-Council to support these family doctors, and encourage them to remain living and working in our community; and to do all things necessary to assist them to continue their medical practices here.
