David Hyde started this petition to Treyarch and

I have created many ideas and generated assets for Call of Duty as a fan and a person that would want to work on them as projects some time in the future.

I have created many zombie map ideas and concepts, camouflage ideas, stories, easter eggs and more.

I believe that a lot of the work I have created has the potential to be in Call of Duty (or at least the zombies mode). And believe that anybody worth their salt should be able to overcome 'no soliciting' policies if the idea and concept is good and viable. This breeds good interaction between a company and the community and develops better reputation and good will.

For example I created a concept called 'Apostle's Damnation' set in Saint Paul's Cathedral and a Vorkuta style map which I believe would be very good ideas for Zombie maps. Maybe have competitions for ideas which gives more community interactions and decide what people really love about the product and how they want to see it do better.

Having a strong community band together can get things sorted and I firmly believe that people should have a hand in helping to make good content while feeding into the idea flow that the developers have. For example, instead of remakes and remasters of maps, feed in to what other locations and stories you could look at then help aid the creative process.

Through my time working in the game industry, I have seen that having a strong community helps team moral and helps branch out from 'what works' in a product to taking successful risks - picking out what designs work well in the setting and ones that don't. It is a case of getting the positive outcomes from people that want to help the game rather than people that want to see a franchise fail.

I am writing this to get the companies on our side to know that there are very creative people out there, with original ideas that could be easily acted upon to create a game that not only the developers want, but what potentially the shareholders and community also want.
