My goal is to make a safe space for queer kids at school which can be very difficult for kids especially in middle school. I want there to be a support group in every school only for lgbtq+ kids where kids can vent or just reach out if they need support or help at home. This could be a well organized club or counseling office. This can really help queer youth feel supported and maybe even save lives. I truly understand what it’s like to be a lgbtq+ kid middle school because I am one. It was hard listening to girls talking about cute boys when I really only payed attention to girls. The support at my school really made me feel comfortable about my sexuality and that people should respect you no matter what but I think they could do a little bit more because I know that there are many queer kids at my school who need help but can’t get it because they are scared or they don’t feel supported and I want to change that. Even if you aren’t lgbtq+ you can understand what us queer kids go through and sign this petition to help queer kids survive middle school. And if you are queer you can probably understand what i’m talking about and maybe help yourself and others <3.
