We must ensure that all people who menstruate have equal access to basic sanitary products to enable improved health and wellbeing. In Australia, we live in a first world country so we have a right to education, a right to health but why don't we have a right to free menstrual products as a basic health right? This is disgusting! We need to ensure everyone can access the basic products they need every month. We don't get a choice to have our period so why do we have to pay such a large price to continue to function in society every month? In order for all girls and women to continue to contribute as productively and positively to our community, this is essential.
