Trapping, kidnapping and attacking their worlds

For years Elephants in Africa are being slaughtered for their tusks, for human’s childish want for ivory. Our selfishness has come to far, this has to be addressed as a real issue. Not only are these animals getting murdered, but their being left with the broken stumps of their tusks. So now Elephants have to try to survive with no way to protect themselves.

The consequences we leave are devastating. We shall no longer turn a blind eye to this problem. In Africa, poaches are illegal, but still tusks are being sold on the black and this is all happing behind closed doors. Though this is illegal it is still a huge problem. We at Prahran high school say there should be more punishments and awareness to this problem.

Over 20,000 Elephants are being killed in Africa to make ivory. People don’t understand that Elephants use their tusks to live, to survive to thrive in their nature environments. They use their tusks like humans our left and right hands. They dig, lift objects, gather food, make shelter, eat, and even protecting their young with their tusks. But now they are being forced to live with no wat to protect themselves. This must be stopped. Asia is the biggest consumer market for ivory. My solution to this problem is awareness the more you no about world wide issues the more likely it will be to be addressed. The government and the U.N cant just ignore the publics wants and need if this subject is more talked about there might be hope for the elephants.

If this is not addressed The elephants will slowly start to disappear. Gradually dying out over the next few years. Elephants like humans have the ability to feel and morin over decided family members. Being sad and depressed if someone in there pack was killed. Mother elephants will stay and sit with there young if they had died and feel the Manley a human emotion of grieving. Unlike some animals who take no notice and move on if there had been a killing or death. These creatures show emotion as well as going extinct the elephants would begin a spiraling train of depression.

Now you are aware of this problem you have the power to make an impact. You can share their stories and help remove their name from the endangered list. Help Elephants thrive and survive beautiful int their natural habitats. I am Harrie and I speak for the elephants I may be young but I speak for their needs.
