Transportation support for Iranian residents in Europe for attending the protest in Berlin
Perché questa petizione è importante
This is a request addressed to all European airlines flying to Berlin.
To begin with, Mahsa Amini, a 22 year old Iranian girl, was arrested in Tehran by the notorious morality police that enforces compulsory hijab in Iran. The morality police tortured and killed Mahsa while she was arrested. Just shortly after, the massive protest began in mid-September all across the country. The brave people of Iran are protesting in the street while being killed by the brutal police. It is unclear how many people have died at the hands of police and security forces during the protests, however, according to Amnesty International, at least more than 82 people were murdered just only in one city (Zahedan, Iran).
Following the uprising of Iranians, families of the victims of flight PS752 -(which was shot down just 3 minutes after take-off from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International airport by at least two missiles of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps); called all Iranians to attend the protest against the brutal regime, which is going to be held on Saturday 22 October, Berlin, Germany. We all Iranians living in Europe want to participate in the demonstration to show our solidarity with our families and people in Iran.
Since most of us are students in different countries across Europe, the price of tickets to Berlin is barely affordable. Moreover, our country is under sanctions, and many of our families are experiencing a tough financial moment. We are writing this letter to make a request from your admired department. Inexpensive tickets to Berlin from across Europe would help many of us to participate in the protest. It is a pivotal moment in the history of women's rights in the Middle East. We would appreciate it if you could provide Iranians with promotion codes or discounts for the flights on 21-23 October. History will remember you.
