We are a group of people, mostly with families, who moor boats in Xemxija Bay. The number of boats moored in Xemxija has increased dramatically over the past years. Moorings are scattered in the bay in a very erratic manner, so we are hereby asking Transport Malta, Minister Ian Borg and Prime Minister Robert Abela, to organize the moorings in the bay in an orderly and safe manner.

We ask Transport Malta, Minister Ian Borg and the Prime Minister, not to turn Xemxija into a private marina, exclusive for the rich. We do not afford to pay thousands of euros to moor our boats.

Depriving us of our healthy lifestyle, would be detrimental to our physical and mental health. With this petition, we the people, ask our government to safeguard our interests and liaise with us to make Xemxija a safe mooring space for boat owners and their families.

We look forward to work with you to make this possible, by assigning boat owners an organized mooring space, grouped by boat size and type whilst allocating safe passage in and out of the bay.
