Stop wasteful funding for pavement traffic lights

The government of NSW is funding the installation of 'traffic lights' in pavements for irresponsible pedestrians who are looking down at their mobile phones possibly whilst listening to music on headphones rather than being aware of their surroundings and taking reponsibility for their own safety.
This is a disgraceful waste of government funding that would be better spent on installing more devices at intersections to help the visually impaired or developing better systems to help the visually impaired negotiate traffic intersections.
The decision by the NSW to fund the pavement 'traffic lights' is an insult to the visually impaired of the state.
