This is an important piece of London's heritage - a link with Paolozzi's prominence as one of the world's first Pop-Artists and one our great British printmakers and sculptors. This mosaic work is one of a kind and has become an integral part of this well known station. It would be a terrible thing to disregard the work as a whole piece within the station site and remove even a small part of it from its historical positioning. Surely for modern designers, it makes for a more interesting and creative challenge to work around what is already there and to find a solution that makes a visual point of leaving the original work in situ.
