Re-purpose TFL WW2 Shelter’s for London’s homeless

We currently face an epidemic in this country with thousands of people ending up night after night on the streets of London. Yet below them, empty, are the very tunnels used to keep Londoners safe during the blitz and indeed many homeless people after the war ended. They are currently being used as a tourist experience by the London Transport Museum and whilst WW2 history is important, today’s human life matters more. So whilst it may not be 5 star luxury it will certainly beat the bitter and dangerous conditions faced above. If it’s safe enough for paying tourists it’s safe enough for our homeless to rest their heads of a night. Let’s return the tunnels to their original use, a safe place for those in need!
