Years ago, when a London was a ghost town on Sundays, it was quite reasonable to suspend parking restrictions. Today, Sunday’s are as busy, or perhaps busier than weekdays. Parked vehicles seriously clog up the main roads, and make side roads difficult to pass through. This causes massive traffic jams and high pollution. The same can also be said for evening/night time traffic.
Bayswater/Knightsbridge are two shining examples!
Buses and taxis are invariably delayed, causing frustration and anger to their passengers as Bus Lanes are instead full of parked cars, their owners having gone shopping!
London can no longer cope with hordes of personal transport bringing the city to its knees. It’s time for a change, so...
