The community of Edmonton and Enfield has had to endure the noise and pollution due to drivers speeding on the A10 - many using the road as a race track. In addition to reducing road safety. The Police have seen drivers speeding at up to 127mph.

There is real frustration, that Transport for London has failed to deliver the average speed cameras that residents have been asking for years for.

As part of Operation Vision Zero, the Traffic Police have done an incredible job to make this road safer. Since May they have enforced over 1,000 traffic offences - that has used a huge amount of Traffic Police resource to do so.

In addition the Police cannot be expected to patrol the road 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

So TfL must install average speed cameras to make the road safer for all.

The purpose of this petition is to underline how important this issue is to Enfield Borough residents and that we must see action from TfL and the Mayor of London.
