End heartless anti-begging/busking announcements on TfL services now!

The fact that London's streets have more homeless beggars than any time that I or my peers can remember recently is certainly bad enough, but the harsh treatment these people receive by a seemingly uncaring society is appaling.
The least that these suffering people deserve is human dignity and respect. I am therefore calling on Transport for London to end the heartless 'there are beggars and buskers operating on this train, please do not encourage their presence by supporting them' announcements on their services and at TfL stations as soon as possible.
As human beings, none of us should be shamed by problems we likely did not bring upon ourselves. Instead of becoming a city (and a country) with a distinct 'us and them' divide between those with homes and the rising number of those who do not, those of us fortunate enough to have a roof over our heads should make sure we let people know that they need not suffer in silence. Even if you don't give beggars money, you don't need to support a system that shames and degrades people already in desperate need.
Please sign this petition to change a small but pointless injustice.
