Translink have announced their plans to permanently close the pathway between Bangor Bus and Rail Centre and Windsor Gardens and Manse / Brunswick Road.

This is an established and well used walking route, assisting access to a public transport hub and Bangor town centre. The path is of huge benefit to the community in Bangor, providing a safe traffic-free walkway used by commuters, school children, parents and local residents.

Closing this path would be detrimental at a time when we are encouraging people to use our outdoor spaces and participate in active and sustainable travel. The proposed closure is short sighted and must be stopped.
