Push Translink to Plan a Commuter Rail Line to Abbotsford and YXX (Abbotsford Airport)

Abbotsford's airport is increasing in popularity as Metro Vancouver is growing and Abbotsford's population is increasing. In fact, WestJet added 14 new, low-cost flights to YXX in competition with NewLeaf.
Following the success of the Canada Line, many transit professionals hail rapid transit airport connections. As well, as a commuter rail line, it "means a service that’s an integral part of the regional transit network, not a specialized airport train."
With a population of 125 000 people and a network that serves an airport, an urban centre, two universities (UFV and Trinity) and the GVA Zoo, a link to Abbotsford is an obvious next-step for Translink. This petition seeks Translink to study this connection and begin working on plans for rapid/high-speed transit to reach YXX and Abbotsford.
