Transgenders in Pakistan face extreme discrimination by not only the citizens, but the government too. Recently, the government announed some laws in hope to raise their socio- political status.However, the implementation of these laws  is extremely minimal. Hence, I believe,  to end the decades long suffering of these people, it is crucial for someone from their own community to be in power. The petition demands allocating transgerders seats in the Parliament in hope to bring a positive change . Moreover,  it is extremely vital for the current Government to ensure the safety of transgenders during the federal elections- something not seen since the initial days of independence.
