I'm signing bc we need to have our police department dealing with crime and not criminalizing people who are in distress or in need of social services etc. As it is now, the police force don't answer to calls they should such as real crimes. We need better resources and social services to answer non criminal calls.

I'm signing because people need support, assistance and guidance for mental health issues and not just enforcement ... police do not have the resources to assist in a lot of cases and people go without supports that may help

Police budgets are way to bloated. I think some money should be transferred to more social services such as affordable housing, education and employment opportunities where there would be more value for the dollar

If defunding really has an impact on how the police operate as the Mayor states then it is time, because the police operations need to get real. Necessary change. Lynn LeClair
